History boys Ethan and Reuben Harvey constructed the highly realistic scene to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme.

The brothers have two distant uncles who died in the battle.

Their back garden now features one large and one small trench, a watch tower, a guard post, a shoot out, tank traps, and no man’s land.

They have used it to recreate life in the trenches for themselves, even trying to spend a winter’s night outside.

Ethan, 17, and Reuben, 13, also spend most of their weekends taking part in battle re-enactments.
