Woman Paralysed From Skydiving Learns To Walk Again
A stunning woman who was left paralysed after a skydiving accident has beaten the odds to walk again.
Emma Carey, 23, from Queensland, Australia, had just started a three month trip around Europe when she jumped out of a plane in Switzerland.
Her parachute and emergency chute became tangled and choked her instructor, who fell unconscious.
After free falling Emma landed on her front with the instructor on top of her, breaking her spine in two places, shattering her pelvis and crushing her spinal cord.
Amazingly Emma and her instructor survived the fall but was paralysed from the waist down and doctors told her she would never walk again.
Refusing to give up, Emma made her first steps within a matter of months and is now finally walking without any help.
The fitness guru now has over 60,000 followers on Instagram and hopes to encourage others with her inspiring journey.
